Ph. Eur grade beeswax
Our Ph. Eur. grade beeswax is a complex mixture of ca. 70 % non-glyceride esters (C38->C62), ca. 12-15 % fatty acids (C16-C36) and ca. 12-16 % paraffinic hydrocarbons (C21-C35). It can be used in pharmaceutical applications as well as in the entire range of cosmetic products, for example in W/O and O/W formulations, sticks, salves, make-up, hair care products, etc.
Advantages of using beeswax are an excellent emulsifiability, high binding strength, pronounced plasticity, a relatively low melting point and its highly occlusive character. In sticks beeswax improves structure, firmness, adhesion, oil retention and mould release. In emulsions beeswax functions as a consistency regulator and as a (co-)emulsifier and contributes to skinfeel, emolliency, barrier function and appearance. The compatibility of this beeswax with other waxes is excellent.
